We have received notification that the Workers’ Compensation Commission, along with the Cook County Circuit Court and a number of other Circuit Courts throughout the State, have restricted operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While specific Circuit Court restrictions vary from county to county, the IWCC plans to temporarily suspend hearing operations from March 17 through March 31, 2020. The Chairman’s office plans to make emergency hearing space available, on a case by case basis, in Chicago, Collinsville, Rockford, Peoria and Springfield. Prior approval from that office will be necessary to proceed.
Although access to the Courts is temporarily restricted, please know that the Attorneys and staff at Ridge & Downes will continue to represent our clients’ interests during this difficult period. Our office is open and we are available by phone or e-mails should you have any questions.
