January 9, 2015 was designated the 1st Annual National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD). The attorneys and staff at Ridge & Downes wore blue to show their appreciation for Illinois’ brave and hard-working law enforcement professionals.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Association reports that in 2014 126 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty. This is a 24% increase from 2013. Countless more suffered serious injuries while performing their job duties and protecting the public.
