Ridge & Downes (R&D) is a proud sponsor of many puppies from Guide Dogs of America on behalf of the IAMAW District 8 for many a year. These puppies grow to be brilliant service dogs for the blind and visually impaired. During this holiday season, we wanted to share this love with you and introduce you to our newest member of the family, Zuko.
Zuko was born on September 12, 2022. He is a yellow Labrador Retriever and is being raised by volunteer puppy raisers, Mr. and Ms. Lusk.
Volunteer puppy raisers provide the Guide Dogs of America's puppies with a safe home, to support them through obedience classes, provide them with socialization opportunities and give them lots of love and kisses!
Each hour spent caring for these Guide Dogs is vital to their development as a future service dog. Let's all cheer on Zuko, as he grows to be of service to a person in need.
