45-year-old Cook County Juvenile officer was injured at work. He was trying to break up a fight between two juveniles when one of them lashed out at him knocking him against a desk. He fell and sustained injuries to his knee. He was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and a strain of his MCL. He was referred for an intensive course of physical therapy and was off work for four months. The case settled for $15,695.94 or 12% loss of use of the leg.
